Where the numbers come from
Which figures on reel are read from chain, from which accounts and logs, and what a dash, a floor or a missing figure means.
Three sources
- Program accounts, read through reel's server-side RPC proxy. Lists come from
getProgramAccountsfiltered by each account's 8-byte tag and size; single accounts are read by address. - Transaction logs. The program emits events as
Program data:lines; reel's server fetches them, decodes them and caches the result. History comes only from here. - Price accounts on chain, for blocks that use them: Pyth price updates for Market Guard and recapture. reel uses no off-chain market data provider for its own figures.
There is no database. If the chain doesn't say it, reel doesn't show it.
Figure by figure
| Figure | Source |
|---|---|
| Reserves, price | the pool's tracked reserves and virtual quote |
| Volume, trades | pool counters vol_quote, vol_base, trades, per side |
| Fees by block, LP fees, protocol, burned | pool counters fees_by_block, lp_fees_total, protocol_total, burned_total |
| Recaptures, rounds, crowns, prizes | pool counters |
| Counts of pools, launches, roots, hooks, agents | Config counters |
| What a wallet is owed | its ClaimLedger: owed, claimed, lifetime by category |
| A position's fees | the position's checkpoints and collected_quote, collected_base |
| Landing totals | every pool (tag reelPOOL), summed per quote mint |
| Chain link | /api/health, every 10 s on the status page |
What a dash means
A figure that couldn't be read shows “—”, with the reason where there is room. It is never shown as 0, and any control that depends on it stays disabled. A total that couldn't read every account it sums is either shown as a lower bound (≥) or not at all; it is never presented as complete.
Amounts stay in each pool's own quote token. Totals across pools are kept per quote mint and never added across quotes. reel shows no APR figure until its method is published on this page.
Before a wallet request
Cached figures guide you around the app; they never authorise anything. Before reel asks a wallet to sign, it builds the transaction from fresh account reads and simulates it. A pending notice is not a confirmation: a transaction counts once it is confirmed on chain. Read the methodology for the full policy.
