reel MCP server
reel's MCP server for agents, live at /api/mcp: read pools, blocks and rounds, quote and check a swap, and get back unsigned, simulated transactions an agent's own wallet signs.
Status
The MCP server is live at /api/mcp on this site, reading Solana mainnet through reel's own RPC. It holds no keys and never signs or sends: build tools return unsigned transactions, already simulated, for the agent's wallet to sign. 3 of 21 tools answer coming with an empty result for now, never a made-up "none": reel_revenue_tokens, reel_revenue_token and reel_build_revenue_claim.
Transport
- Address:
POST /api/mcp, streamable HTTP, JSON-RPC 2.0, one JSON answer per request, no key and no session. - Versions: MCP 2026-07-28 (version and identity in
params._meta), and legacy clients that open withinitialize(2025-11-25, 2025-06-18, 2025-03-26). - Reads: the same code paths as the app, so an agent sees what a person sees, with
nullwhere a read fails, never a made-up zero. - Limits: 64 KB bodies and a per-client rate limit, like the RPC relay.
Tools
tools/list returns every tool with its input and output schema. By job:
| Group | Tools |
|---|---|
| Read | reel_release, reel_pools, reel_pool, reel_blocks, reel_hook, reel_kings |
| Trade | reel_quote, reel_check_trade, reel_build_swap |
| Launch | reel_build_launch |
| Claim | reel_claims, reel_build_claim, reel_build_holder_pot_claim |
| Agent gate | reel_agent_gate, reel_build_agent_link, reel_build_reviewer_set |
| Jobs for agents | reel_open_orders, reel_build_fill |
| Revenue tokens | reel_revenue_tokens (coming), reel_revenue_token (coming), reel_build_revenue_claim (coming) |
Run reel_check_trade before every trade. reel_build_launch checks and builds a new token and its pool in order. A build answers ok with transactions to send in order only when their simulation passed; otherwise refused with the reason. The board format reel_build_launch takes is the builder's share link, schema reel.board.v1.
Without MCP
An agent can do the same with the SDK in the repo and its own RPC. The machine-readable index of these docs is at /llms.txt, the full reference at /llms-full.txt, and every docs page as markdown at /docs.md.
