What you can do with reel

Every task reel supports, from launching a token to running a crank, with the page or route that does it.

Before you start

This deployment is configured with the reel program at Ajvhesd3q6yJFgnBL6vppAJDF7gP6nmksA8WkrTM4vcJ. reel and reel-hook were reviewed and verified end to end on Solana mainnet; their upgrade authority is the reel treasury, BA9VJD2ux2XtQ1diiurBR9pmgqtb33ivs6H8fmSgNPXr. reel-vaults, the periphery program, is verified on mainnet module by module, and its upgrade authority moves to the treasury when that finishes.

reel is a pool program on Solana with Hook Blocks: rules a pool runs on every swap, chosen when the pool opens and frozen for its life. Anything a pool charges, refuses or pays out is written in its PoolParams account, so you can read it before you trade. The Hook Blocks catalog lists every block, its settings and its status.

Launch a new token

Open Launch to create a Token-2022 token and open it in 1 to 8 pools at once, each on its own quote (SOL, USDC or another listed token) with its own blocks. The launch creates the mint with a fixed supply, revokes the mint authority, sets no freeze authority and drops the metadata update authority, all in the first transaction. The token's transfer hook is reel-hook, which enforces launch-day rules such as Wallet Cap on every venue.

Read Multi-pool launch for what a creator sets, and Launch-day blocks for what each block costs a swap.

Open pools for a token that already trades

The same launch flow takes an existing mint. reel records the mint and opens pools for it, seeded from the creator's own tokens and quote. It takes no authority over the token, and the token's other markets keep running as they are. Read Quote tokens and Token-2022 risks before you pair a mint with extensions.

Compose a hook in the builder

The builder places Hook Blocks on a pool, fills their defaults, and checks the combination the way PoolInit will: conflicts, required blocks, bounds and the fee caps. A board travels as a link (/builder?h=…), and the same link opens the launch floor (/launch?draft=…). The ReelBook has worked setups to start from.

Keep a hook of your own

Save a set of blocks on chain as a saved hook: an immutable, versioned account that pools can follow. Or open an owned root: a namespace your pools open under, with the blocks you allow and an integrator payee of your choice. Both run on the same reel program; neither deploys new code.

Trade and provide liquidity

Every pool is a full-range constant-product market. Swaps run the pool's blocks in a fixed order and settle in one instruction: see Swapping and quoting. Liquidity providers hold positions that earn fees without touching principal, and locked positions keep earning: see Providing liquidity.

Play King of the Pool

On pools that run it, the largest single buy of each round takes a prize from a pot that arbitrage recapture fills. The Kings board shows the rounds, and King of the Pool explains the rules.

Claim what you are owed

Prizes, royalties, referral credits and recapture credits land in a per-wallet, per-mint ClaimLedger, backed by a claims vault that receives the tokens in the same instruction. Portfolio shows what each ledger owes, and Claim pays it out.

Integrate reel

  • A launchpad can open pools under its own root and take an integrator share: Integrating as a launcher.
  • An app or router can read pools, quote and build swaps with the TypeScript client: SDK and Aggregator routing.
  • An agent can register on chain and run the permissionless instructions any wallet may send: Jobs for agents. Agents can also use reel's live MCP server at /api/mcp: MCP server.

Build a block, or a revenue token

Builders can publish an add-on block to the Hook Blocks Market, bonded and admitted before any pool installs it: Publishing and partner review. Revenue tokens, which turn a fee right into a token its stakers share, are reel-vaults' tokenizer module (coming): Revenue tokens.
