Opening price check

Fails the launch if a pool opens too far from pool 1's price.

Where it runs

Launch

An option of the launch, not of each swap.

Status on reel

Launch option

An option of reel's launch flow, fixed when the launch is created (PROGRAM.md §5, §7).

Set by

You, at launch

Launch · Live

What it does

Each pool after the first must open within a tolerance of pool 1's price, converted through a reference pool. It catches a wrong opening price; it isn't an oracle.

How it works on reel

opening_tolerance_bps (1 to 1,000; 0 = off) is checked at LaunchFinalize against live reel reference pools (OpeningOutsideTolerance).

Settings · 1

Set on the launch, in the Launch account or a launch instruction, not in PoolParams.

0%0%10%Each later pool must open within this of pool 1's price, through a live reel reference pool. 0 = off.

Fees and who's paid

Paid to

Nobody: it charges nothing.

Protocol share

reel takes no share of it.

Requires and can't be combined with

Requires

No other block.

  • Two pools or more
  • A live reel pool pairing each later quote with pool 1's

Can't be combined with

Nothing: it sits beside any block.

Worked example

A 1% tolerance: pool 1 opens at 0.00001 SOL, so pool 2 must open within 1% of that in USDC, converted through a live reel SOL/USDC pool.

Solana notes

Reference pools must be live reel pools.
