What it does

Each sell pays a rate set by how long the seller held: from the top rate down to the floor over the horizon, along a curve. Quick flips pay and nobody is locked in. On a token without per-wallet hold times the rate falls for the whole pool from launch.

How it works on reel

Sells pay decay(top → floor, held, horizon, curve) bps, protocol share first. On hooked new tokens held = now − HookHolder.acq_ts of the seller: reel-hook keeps a weighted-average acquisition time on every receive, and a wallet with no holder account pays the top rate. Other tokens decay pool-wide from open_ts.

Worked example

Top 3%, floor 0, 72 h, linear: a wallet that bought 36 h ago sells for 10 SOL and pays 1.5%, 0.15 SOL: 0.03 SOL to reel at a 20% share and 0.12 SOL to LPs.
