Canonical Venue Token

A new token that moves only between wallets and reel's own vaults.

Where it runs

Launch

An option of the launch, not of each swap.

Status on reel

Partial

Partial: the transfer hook can't tell a person's wallet from a wrapper or custodian whose owner is an on-curve key (PROGRAM.md §12). It stops other venues' program vaults, not every custodian.

What it does

A new fixed-supply token meant to trade on one known venue. Wallet-to-wallet transfers work as usual; moving the token into another venue's vault is refused, so its liquidity stays in its reel pools.

How it works on reel

A mint flag set at launch. reel-hook, the token's Token-2022 transfer hook, requires the sender and receiver of every transfer to be on-curve wallets or reel's VAULT_AUTH (CanonicalOnly). Every reel vault is owned by VAULT_AUTH, so the token trades on any of its reel pools.

Settings

No settings of its own.

Fees and who's paid

Paid to

Nothing extra; the pools' blocks charge as usual.

Protocol share

reel takes no share of it.

Requires and can't be combined with

Requires

No other block.

  • New tokens only

Can't be combined with

Nothing: it sits beside any block.

Worked example

VENUE launches with a SOL pool and a USDC pool. Swaps on either work; sending VENUE to another AMM's vault fails in the transfer hook.

Solana notes

hookr routes every trade through a settlement contract on one pool. reel needs no settlement: the check lives in the token's transfer hook, so each of its reel pools is a permitted venue.
