Supply you keep

Declares on chain the most of a new token's supply the creator may hold at launch.

Where it runs

Launch

An option of the launch, not of each swap.

Status on reel

Launch option

An option of reel's launch flow, fixed when the launch is created (PROGRAM.md §5, §7).

Set by

You, at launch

Launch · Live

What it does

The most of a new token's supply the creator may keep when the launch finalizes: dev buys plus supply no pool took. The launch fails if it is exceeded. With a dev buy, 5% applies on top.

How it works on reel

max_retained_bps at LaunchCreate. LaunchFinalize checks escrow_left + dev_bought ≤ max_retained, and ≤ 5% with a dev buy (RetainedAboveCap); LaunchReturn later sends the escrow's leftover to the creator.

Settings · 1

Set on the launch, in the Launch account or a launch instruction, not in PoolParams.

Fees and who's paid

Paid to

Nobody: it charges nothing.

Protocol share

reel takes no share of it.

Requires and can't be combined with

Requires

No other block.

  • New tokens only

Can't be combined with

Nothing: it sits beside any block.

Worked example

Supply 1,000,000,000 with a 2% cap: if the pools take 985,000,000 and the dev buy brings 10,000,000, the creator holds 2.5% and finalize fails.

Solana notes

It works as on hookr; amounts are in SOL or the pool's quote, and times in seconds.
